Statement from Lori Trahan on President Trump cancelling North Korea summit
Lowell, Mass. — “The president’s decision to cancel this meeting is a huge disappointment. We lost a historic opportunity to lead the world in promoting denuclearization,” Trahan said. “This Cold War-era mindset of stockpiling nuclear weapons must end. We lost our chance to lead that effort today, a chance to make the world a little safer for all of our children. It’s a sad day for the entire international community.”
