Trahan endorsed by Lowell Sun, Sentinel & Enterprise
Lori Trahan, Democrat for Congress, proudly announces she has received the endorsements of both the Lowell Sun and Sentinel & Enterprise.
“Trahan has never left home. She grew up in a working-class family and it gave her a deep understanding of the challenges that similar families face today,” the Lowell Sun wrote. “Trahan has come out the strongest in her sense of purpose, ideas, and commitment to the people of the 3rd Congressional District.”
“From our standpoint, the Democrat field has one candidate who has emerged from the top tier in convincing fashion. Wife, mother, political operative, and successful entrepreneur, Lori Loureiro Trahan has the lifelong ties and experiences that bind her to the district,” states the Sentinel & Enterprise.
Trahan, who delivered the Lowell Sun when she was a young girl, said the Sun’s endorsement was “very personal to me.”
“I am grateful for the Lowell Sun’s coverage of this important race and historic field of candidates. The newspaper is respected for putting candidates through a rigorous process before offering its coveted endorsement,” Trahan said. “I am proud that they have recognized our efforts and that its editors believe as I do that the working families of this district are best served by someone who is from this district,”
Trahan also thanked the Sentinel & Enterprise, covering Fitchburg, Lancaster, Lunenburg, Ashby, Townsend, Ayer, and Westminster.
“We have been meeting voters across the district, talking about the issues that affect them. They are the same issues that affect my family – soaring drug prices, affordable health care, jobs, and education,” Trahan said. “I am proud to receive the support of the Sentinel Enterprise because whether we are talking about Fitchburg or Lowell, Haverhill or Marlborough, people want a representative who understands the challenges that families in the 3rd District are facing.”
