Lowell’s State House delegation — minus its lone senator — is closing ranks around Lori Trahan in her bid for its open congressional seat, echoing her pitch as the “Lowell candidate” in the crowded 3rd District race.

Trahan yesterday touted the backing of state lawmakers David Nangle, Thomas Golden and Rady Mom at the venerable Owl Diner, a holiday weekend announcement intended to lay her claim to the district’s largest city.
